Do a quick Google search for "low code future". You'll see an array of articles from the past few years telling you that most app development already is done with low-code or no-code tools and the industry is rapidly growing.
This doesn't mean pro-code is dead. We expect there will always be advanced capabilities that require some knowledge of coding. Until the machines fully take over, at least. (wink)
The tools and platforms that make low-code development possible are only getting better but everything has it's pros and cons.
EXCEL AND GOOGLE SHEETS
Spreadsheets have been around forever, in computing terms, and there's a good reason. Excel and Google Sheets offer powerful features through a visual interface which makes them accessible to anyone. You probably just never thought of them as "low-code."
Combined with automation tools like Zapier and Make plus niche tools for forms like Jotform and Fillout, entire business processes can be automated using visual interfaces.
NO-CODE ISN'T A NO-BRAINER
You may have tried building a website with Wix or Squarespace or Webflow and not had an easy time of it. No-code or low-code doesn't always equate to easy or the best option.
Knowing what combination of tools to use together and how to get the most out of the features available takes time to understand.

We know how to maximize the capabilities of spreadsheets and automation tools to solve business problems.
Low-code is an emerging market so new apps and features will be coming out at a rapid pace. AI investment is helping to push this change. The idea of automating away your least favorite tasks is universally appealing and most people haven't done much of it yet.
We utilize Chat-GPT to help with our development processes. It's an amazing tool but, just like anything else, you have to know how and when to use it to maximize the benefits.
